  Doctors I have met are great, if you can get one, getting appointment in reasonable time is impossible, my wife is on treatment, reception staff are disinterested, rude and unhelpful, first appointment available is 2 weeks, 7 days after medication runs out. Not for the first time no interest in Patients from Staff,. I tried to discuss problems with senior staff, on all 3 times I called, ( at times advised ) with very long waits each time, I was told not available, call back, but would not call me, this poor attitude comes from the manager, and they would not survive in the real world.

  Both I, and my late wife, have seen various Doctors over the past 40 years at the Cottingham Medical Centre. I have never felt rushed by any of them. I've found them all ready to listen. One difficulty is making appointments - something which I understand from friends is a problem at all doctors surgeries! My only criticism is of one member of the office staff, who does get very uptight at times. Although I've not had to use one myself, I gather from friends that the nhs walk in centres are very good if you need to see a doctor and cannot get an appointment with your own doctor.
